Model Rail

Model Rail (Railway or Railroad)  covers 2 main categories: HO/OO and its variations (from my childhood) and G scale as in garden railways.

It is basically a throw back to childhood. In those days I had great thoughts of the ultimate layout that never happened. After retiring I had time to pursue this hobby.

There are many aspects to the hobby: building a layout , scenery, electronics, computers, kit building, making models with 3D printing and other methods, operations and sharing the hobby with others (the social aspect), and spending money!

We have an interest in HO/OO scale (from childhood) and more recently Garden rail.

The main bottleneck currently was the need for a room in the shed for the HO layout and a garden layout with a small shed for the G scale/ scale 1 gear. As there are many aspects to this hobby I will separate the various topics into their own pages: TBA.
